With the motto “a piece of heaven”, The Calyx was built the philosophy that the sun is the source of life for our universe. A monument to appreciate the significance of the spirit of the sun was raised as the focal point of the property.

“Calyx” or “Utena” in Japanese reflects the philosophy of the
Japanese culture. The grand presence of the four universal elements - fire, soil, air and water are represented by icons in each villa and supported by statue of the sun God enshrined on a stand. Just as a calyx supports its flower, the utena supports the lotus stand. And the guests are the flowers of The Calyx Villas.
