More than 2 month, myweddingdiary.net, one of my client got down from Google SERP for
some keyword like “Bali Wedding Organizer”.

i’m still learning about SEO, so i don’t know the certain cause of that. After looking back the title, meta keyword, headline, etc that i used before, that’s could be category as spamming technique. And google very hate spam.

The story began when i updated its wedding venue. I want it could indexed fast at Google, so i submitted all of the wedding venue url into Google’s database, and Google known it as spamming. After that case, the next day i got myweddingdiary.net disappear from first SERP. More than 1 month, i try to find what the main problem, searching into SEO web, forum, and finally my conclusion is :

1. Link Farm
Yes, i was wrong in the first step to find link exchange. I was looking the easy way to get backlink, and i joined link farm. Don’t ever join the link farm.
2. Submitting multiple URL from the same domain
I submitted all of url on wedding venue category to google add url, it’s wrong. if you want google index your site fast, do ping
3. Spamming on Title
Create title of your website to visitor, not for spider, but still keyword contains.
4. Link Exchange with Bad Neighborhood
For new website on the net, we have to get more link from other website. Before you doing link exchange with other, better you check it’s not bad neighborhood and do link exchange with your relevant bussiness.
5. Hidden Text on Banner
Moron! i was thinking it will be a good technique to hide a text with css. Don’t ever do this

For some peoples, my case could be caused of Google Dance, a condition where Google indexes are tuned, so it impact SERP. I’m lucky, after more than 2 month, everything has back to normal, although it’s not like before. SEO is not arithmetical but it’s interest thing for some peoples, therefore we should beware on find the SEO tutorial, don’t ever coaxing by the ads. Don’t be panic if you are on this situation, keep your spirit and be creative to find the way.
